The Colours
The Red
Every nail colour range must have a red. This is a good true red, not too orange and not too scarlet. For a good opaque and even finish The Red needs 2 coats. Apply 1st thin coat and seal then repeat.Plum
A gorgeous deep maroon (see the nails on the homepage image). This is a very popular colour in every nail polish range but in this range the colour is achieved in seconds instead of hours! For an opaque and even finish this Ink needs 2 coats. Apply 1st thin coat, seal then repeat.Midnight
A deep beautiful blue that is tres chic! For an opaque and even finish, Pewter needs 2 coats. Apply 1 thin coat and seal then repeat with 2nd coat and seal. A clear winner in the best sellers. This is a delicate blend of silver and a pinky lilac that is a dream to apply and has a fabulous finish. It is also a great layering colour.Platinum
Better than silver, Platinum is a metallic that applies perfectly in 1 coat. A great layering colour. Also great for toes and so easy to apply! A best seller, this shimmering pink applies with ease in 1 coat. It is a very pretty, every day colour that looks good on its own or layers well with many other colours. An amazing metallic gold that applies in 1 coat. It’s a great layering colour and looks fabulous on toes. TIP: Inks are cosmetic pigment in a water base and safe to use on the skin. Paint Gold leaf on your eyelids, wait a few seconds for it to dry then blend over the lid. Paint a thin line close to the lashes and allow to dry. A fabulous look for eyes!Pewter
A very fashionable colour, Pewter is a soft dove grey that suits almost all skin tones. Grey is the ‘new black’ and super chic! For an opaque and even finish, this Ink needs 2 coats: apply 1 thin coat and seal. Repeat with a 2nd coat and seal. A dense black is achieved in just 1 application! It dries in seconds and is matte. Apply Wrapture Plus for a super glossy finish. A best seller! TIP: Black Beth, like all The Inks, is cosmetic pigment in a water base and safe for use on skin. It makes a fantastic eye liner as it is the densest black you’ll find and dries in secondsThe Inks are a revolutionary and innovative way of colouring nails. The traditional solvent based polish that is difficult to use when painting your own nails and takes ages to dry is replaced with a water based colour that takes seconds!
According to Vogue (Sept ’08): "How long does it take nail varnish to dry? 5 minutes to touch dry, 25 minutes to smudge-proof and 12 hours to rock-hard".
The INKS take 20 seconds to touch dry, 60 seconds to smudge-proof and 2 mins to rock hard!
The Inks, in a pen with a brush nib, are cosmetic pigments suspended in a water base. They are painted on the nails in seconds (even on the move!) and sealed with a glossy top coat. Any colour on the skin just washes off! Now you don’t need to plan your nail colour to match several days outfits. You can change your nail colour as easily as you change your lipstick! Don’t think of The Inks as nail polish. It isn’t. It’s nail colour. Colours can be changed in an instant. They can also be layered to create a different colour (there are some suggestions on layering in the FAQ section). The Inks are fun and fast and more like a lipstick that a nail polish!
NB The nature of the pigment in a water base means that the pigment separates easily. This is normal and the pens just needs a good shake.
You can choose 1, 2 or 3 Inks together with a Wrapture Plus sealer (we have replaced Wrapture with Wrapture Plus after listening to our customers who prefer tougher and more versatile Wrapture Plus). There are also a couple of sachets of Moisturise! A towelette to remove any colour on your skin and Remove! A towelette of a solvent remover. 2 and 3 colour kits are more cost effective so choose your favourite colours or a combination for layering. A 2 colour kit will give you 3 colours while a 3 colour kit can give you 6 colours!
