1 How do I make the brush work?
When the Ink is new you need to give the pen several pumps (always remember to shake well!). when the Ink arrives into the brush, wipe the excess on a tissue (or even on the back of your hand) and you are ready to go. If the Ink has been used, the brush may be ready to go if the cap has been kept on. If not, it will need a couple of pumps but do not use a wet brush. If the brush has dried out it can be washed under a tap then dried on a tissue.
-
2 How does it work.
The Ink is a cosmetic pigment suspended in a water base. Painting the nails with the Inks leaves a thin layer of water based colour behind that dries in seconds. This will wash off until it is sealed with Wrapture Plus. Any of the colour on the skin will wash off.
-
3 How long will it last.
The layer is very this so it does not chip. Because it is so thin it can wear off in a day or so. This isn’t a problem as it can just be quickly touched off with a bit more Ink and a new coat of Wrapture Plus.
-
4 Does it damage your nails.
Absolutely not.
-
5 Does it need a basecoat.
It doesn’t need a base coat as it applies very well to clean nails. However, some nails are porous and a couple of the colours may slightly stain (just like nail polishes). If this happens a light buff with a nail buffer will remove it.
A thin layer of Wrapture Plus will work as a base coat.
-
6 How do you get it off your skin.
If you have got some Ink around the nail on the skin or used the back of your hand as a ‘palette’ it will wash of with soap and water or Remove! Sachets.
NB it will wash off any area of nail that hasn’t been sealed. Just patch this up and reseal. -
7 Why doesn't it wash off your nail.
It will not wash off your nail if it has been sealed. Sometimes it is easy to miss the sides of the nail. Just patch it up with the Ink and reseal.
-
8 What happens when it chips off.
It doesn’t chip off as the coating isn’t thick enough. It does wear off though. If this happens just patch it up with the Ink and reseal. Unlike patching up with polish there will be no uneven surface.
-
9 How quickly will it dry.
The Ink dries in seconds (you MUST apply a very thin coat) When the Wrapture Plus has been applied it will dry in around a minute.
-
10 How often should I use the oil.
Use the Right Here Nail Oil every day at least. The more you use it the more effect it will have.
-
11 How often can I apply top coat.
Apply the top coat (Wrapture Plus) as often as you like. If you apply it every day the colour will last longer.
-
12 What does Wrapture Plus do.
Wrapture Plus is the sealer for the Inks. It is also a fabulous clear coat for the natural nail. It’s colour enhancing properties will make the nail look clean and healthy. Why not try it! Paint one hand and compare it to the unpainted hand.
-
13. Why doe some colours look so streaky?
Some of the colours need 2 layers. Every pigment behaves differently. It is important to apply a thin layer even if it does look streaky. To even out the colour and make a dense coverage, apply a layer of Ink, seal with a thin layer of Wrapture Plus the reapply the Ink and seal.
-
14 How many applications will I get out of a pen.
So little is used in each application you will probably get about 50 sets out of a pen (this will depend on how much is wasted by over pumping)
-
15 Can I mix colours.
Absolutely! There are several colours that mix beautifully to make a 3rd colour. The way to do this is to apply the first colour then apply the second without sealing. Apply Wrapture Plus to seal. There is a list of some layering suggestions here
-
16 Will it stay matt when Wrapture Plus is applied.
The Inks dry matt (except those with a shimmer or a metallic effect). When Wrapture Plus is applied the matt will disappear under a glossy coat.
-
17 How often should I buff my nails.
With Glamour Gloss you could buff your nails every couple of weeks. You won’t need to do it any more often as the shine stays for ages.
-
18 What happens if the pens brush dries up.
If the brush dries up (if the cap has been left off, for example) it can be washed in water and dried with a tissue
-
19 Why does the colour separate in the pen?
The pigment separates easily from the base. This happen in traditional nail polish which is why there are ball bearings in every bottle as these help to mix the polish. These cannot be put in the Inks as the ball bearings will block the hole to the brush. Therefore it is essential that the pen is shaken well before every use.
-
20 Why does the colour sometimes come out of the brush very thickly?
This is usually because the pen has not been shaken before pumping. Shake the pen vigorously, pump several times with the brush in a tissue to clear the brush.
