This
collection of images taken from the worlds glossy magazines is a
tiny proportion of the work Marian has been doing over the past
few years. When she started this part of her career there were
few, if any, technicians that did ‘sessions’ work. She was
certainly the first UK technician to work on the top level
fashion shows. Her first was Givenchy Couture in Paris in 1997.
Marian
still does session work in studios and still does many shows for
London and Paris Fashion Weeks. Plus she is usually the one
called upon to do the big, high profile shows such as Fashion
Rocks, Alexander McQueen/AmEx Black Card, Versace/Princes
Trust, Cartier etc. There are many technicians doing this type
of work now and Marian is pleased that this area of work has
opened up to be so much more accepted than it was ‘back in the
day’
This section is divided into:
‘Campaigns’
(a selection of some of the advertising campaigns Marian has
worked on)
‘Covers’
(working on a cover is a very prestigious part of session work.
Marian’s Vogue covers are countless (because she’s never counted
them!) plus many, many others)
‘Editorial’
(these are the fashion or beauty ‘stories’ that appear in glossy
magazines the world over. They are important as credit is given
to the people that helped to create the images. This is what
goes towards showing what an individual is capable of).
